School for me is back in session already, and you know what that means, lesson planning, preparing hands-on activities and engaging lessons. I teach Math at our local community college and love being back in the classroom!
I have fallen behind in my blogging, but I’m back and getting myself back into a routine. What does that mean? I actually pulled out the calendar on my iphone and set it up with all that I am doing for this summer session and fall session. Yes, I’m teaching 3 math classes and the hardest part about it is keeping track of all the meetings, mentor sessions, professional development classes, and my own CEU classes.
Let’s see I have a a ‘jagged’ schedule -at least until Fall Semester starts. one class started on July 24 and will run through September 27; the next one starts on August 1 and runs through September 1, and then the last one starts on August 28 and runs for 16 weeks. on top of all these classes I am also tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have met a lot of very interesting people, ELL (English Language Learners) from Japan, China, Mexico, Peru and Iran to name a few.
This week on Instagram:
White Bird battlefield Overlook sits off Highway 95, a Nez Pearce Historical site, we stopped here on our way to my daughter’s wedding in Moscow Idaho.
This house, so cool, I think I could stay there, seriously I’m certain. Wouldn’t it be a great place to just write…write…and write some more?
3. The View from my College
I just had to shoot this, on my way to class!
4. First Look
This shot was so much fun to set up with my ‘new son’ not son-in-law, SON, and my daughter.
I want to go back!, to where there is no WIFI.
Having fun with wordpress Daily Prompt: Wheel
Here, at Camas Prairie is the heart of the Nez Pearce Indian Reservation. Tolo Lake sits a little ways below-, this prairie provided a campground for Joseph’s Wallowa Band and White Bird’s Salmon River Band – when war broke out on the Salmon River directly south of here, on June 4, 1877, both these bands were under military pressure to settle here on Camas Prairie when three young men from White Bird’s band avenged a long series of past wrongs and army authorities retaliated here.
The story of this hashtap #imagineflowers2017 for my daughter’s wedding goes a little something like this. She went to the venue, during winter, and the entire area was covered in snow, (being Moscow, Idaho). J was unsure about picking the venue for her wedding 6 months later – July. One of her friends, told her, just look around and IMAGINE FLOWERS. = )
9. Around this corner
Early evening before the Big Day, J and I went scouting for just the right places for her sunset photos…. chasing the light
